Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), to fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine material requirements and fabrication processes.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding and fabrication by cutting, shaping, and cleaning metal components to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including engineers and other fabricators, to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding techniques; ability to operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, laser cutters, and shears.
  • Certifications: Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in all welding and fabrication tasks.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overtime as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with team members.
