Welding/ Fabrication Supervisor

Due to a continued business growth and development of a new site, we are currently recruiting an experienced Welding/Fabrication Foreman to join a our prestigious client in Bristol on a permanent basis.



The business are highly regarded as leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of Medium to heavy fabricated products to a range of sectors including energy from waste, Construction and Power



Successful candidates will be time-served with a demonstrable background working within a similar role with a strong understanding of standards required within the above sectors. Strong background in MIG Welding of Mild Steel products is a must.



Candidates will be responsible day to day running of the fabrication department ensuring employees work in a safe and effective way and that planned work is completed correctly and on time.



Candidates Must have experience in large scale fabrication of Mild Steel products



Hours - Monday – Thursday 0715 – 16.30/ Friday 0745 – 1230



12 hour days Available 6-6



All OT Paid at Premium rates.



Job Description :



* Manage the day to day running of the Fabrication Shop. Assisting with technical aspects of jobs in all disciplines when required to do so



* Ensure all equipment required to carry out work effectively is available, and that equipment is maintained in good working order and meets with all necessary QA and H & S compliance



* Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, tidy and well organised.



* Ensure working procedures are followed at all times and that each job has the correct material, tooling, technical information, paperwork and that all previous operations have been signed off. Promote best method of manufacture to improve efficiencies at all times



* Ensure all departmental documentation and or employment related documentation is completed on time all of the time



Candidate Required Skills



* Time-served with demonstrable experience in a similar lead role within a Welding / Fabrication based environment working to tight tolerances.



* Strong MIG Welding skills



* The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings.



* Past experience in medium to heavy manufacturing for industries



* Strong Man Managements Skills



* Strong Communication skills – Both written and Verbal
