Welding Manufacturing Apprentice
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Welding Manufacturing Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced welders and manufacturing professionals, contributing to the production process while learning the fundamentals of welding and manufacturing operations.
Main duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing welding tasks, including cladding, MIG, TIG, and arc welding, under the supervision of experienced welders
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements
- Participate in the setup and operation of welding equipment and tools
- Learn the skills required from highly experienced and motivated mentor
- Attending college as required
- Complete all log books and assessments in a timely manner
- Reporting any environmental or health and safety issues that arise
- Assist colleagues as required
- Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and company policies
- Follow all 5S and LEAN principles with respect to a manufacturing environment
What you’ll need:
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three 5 level qualifications at grade C or above, with two of these qualifications in the subjects of English and Maths.
