Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to provide product installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance (repairs) services on a variety of equipment from medical to industrial, in environments that range from factories to hospitals.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Significant experience in servicing medical laser devices in a healthcare environment is essential. Experience with various types of medical lasers, such as CO2 lasers and diode lasers.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing medical laser devices as well as a strong understanding of laser technology, optics, and electrical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of laser safety principles and standards is necessary to ensure safe operation and compliance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to the FRU level.
  • Experience servicing electro-mechanical and medical device products.
  • Experience with servicing products with complicated wiring harnesses and sensitive electronic components.
  • Familiar with the use of common service tools including vacuum/pressure meter, frequency counter, and digital multimeter.
  • Able to work in an environment that requires standing for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Requires bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, climbing, and other physical activities.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. both assisted and unassisted.

 

Specific Required Skills/Knowledge/Technical Competencies:

  • Ability to troubleshoot to the FRU level.
  • Experience servicing electro-mechanical products.
  • Experience with servicing products with complicated wiring harnesses and sensitive electronic components.
  • Familiar with the use of common service tools including vacuum/pressure meter, frequency counter, and digital multimeter.
  • Able to work in an environment that requires standing for 8 hours a day.
  • Requires bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, climbing, and other physical activities.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. both assisted and unassisted.

 

Secondary Skills/Knowledge:

  • Requires travel up to 80% of the time (local & out of state).
  • Experience booking and tracking own travel and expenses.
  • CompTIA A+ is a plus.
  • Ability to rent a car.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Must be a local to the region in posting.

 

Training: Provided by the company
Years of Experience: 1-3 years in the field service
Travel: 80%+ local and out of state
Education: AA or equivalent work experience
Vaccination: Required
Reliable Transportation: Own car and valid driver’s license
Car & Travel Expenses: Reimbursed by the company

Pay: $62,400.00 - $68,640.00 per year

  • Field Service Technician: 3 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Required) in state and 25% out of state
